The Georgia Rural Health Association, the Georgia Hospital Association and the Georgia State Office of Rural Health and Primary Care invite you to view pre-recorded presentations designed specifically for Georgia’s Rural Health Clinics. These five presentations were recorded at the 1st Annual GRHA Rural Health Clinic Conference.

These programs are designed for: Rural Health Clinic staff and administrators, physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, healthcare administrators, and other allied health professionals. Session 1: Risk Management 101

Description:
This program features a discussion of risk management for the physician’s practice. The session will identify the top five allegations related to office-based malpractice claims, most common diagnosis associated with office-based diagnostic-related claims, and the process associated with high risks, as well as strategies to reduce those risks.

Session 2: Rural Extension Centers, EHRs & Meaningful Use

Session 3: Rural Health Clinics: Role in Accountable Care Organizations & RHC Cost Reporting

Description: This program features a discussion about Rural Health Clinic Assistance provided by the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy via the National Association of Rural Health Clinics and the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health. In addition, program viewers will learn about how the Georgia State Office of Rural Health (SORH) can assist healthcare organizations in Georgia.

Session 5: Healthcare Reform: An Overview of the Patient Protection & Affordable Act & RHCs

Description: This program focuses on healthcare reform related to Rural Health Clinic (RHCs) in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). Session attendees will be provided with an overview of the PPACA as it relates to RHCs, as well as the positive aspects and the challenges of the PPACA related to RHCs.
